2023 National Jamboree
Scouting has continued to flourish. I’m very excited that last year for the first time since 1999, we actually had growth in membership across the United States.
It looks like this year we’re going to have growth again. Here’s my aspiration for Scouting, if you will. There’s no reason why we can’t have 5 million Scouts in the next 10 years. It takes Scouts asking other youth to actually come and join the program.
My biggest aspiration, in addition to growth, is quite honestly, I want every child in the U.S. to be able to take advantage of the Scout Oath and Law.

Despite initial struggles, her experience greatly enhanced her independence and leadership skills.
